The fire within

Much activity continues behind the calm exterior of Pogotronics.

A prototype of the new LED brake/tail light isolator has been built and is in testing. Plans are to sell this as a kit complete with two LED brake/tail lights and wiring harness.

A second test unit of the LED ballast circuit has been designed and built. This uses simpler circuitry (I like that) and should be easier to build. The circuit board for this is considerably smaller too, making it much easier to mount the complete unit.

Some photos have been uploaded of the two demonstrators produced so far. The site is beginning to look like it means business.

In preparation for that, and following some interest in the LED brake/tail light isolator, parts have been ordered, and the design of the circuit board has been finalised. We’re looking forward to production starting ‘real soon now’.

The fire within burns brightly.

Paddling like hell underneath

I appreciate now the depth of this saying. All appears calm (almost inert) on the surface at Pogotronics, but much is happening underneath.

The most significant is the production of prototypes for the Trailer wiring isolator, and for an improved version of the LED ballast specific to Can Am Spyder brake/tail lights.

Somewhat hidden below this activity is the revision of almost all the circuits to use surface mount power transistors. This would make them practically immune to vibration and will make production easier for me.

When parts arrive shortly, I will add some images of the prototypes to the Products page.
